Buying guide
Choosing in this range
Measure the wound, not the limb
Pick a dressing whose pad covers the wound with about 2cm of margin all round. Too small and the edges lift; too large and the adhesive wastes skin.
Pack size beats pack price
A 60-pack of 6 × 7cm costs less per dressing than a 25-pack. If you get through plasters, buy the deeper pack.
Check the backing if it will get wet
The 10 × 10cm and larger sizes have a waterproof film backing. For showering over a wound, choose one of those or the silicone foam.
Sterile means single use
Each dressing is sealed individually. Once a sachet is open the contents are no longer sterile — use it or discard it.
