Choosing in this range
Rigid tape does not stretch
Zinc oxide is for holding things still — securing a dressing, taping a finger. It is not an elastic support wrap.
Tear it, do not cut it
The weave tears cleanly across by hand, so you can apply it one-handed without scissors.
Anchor beyond the joint
Start and finish the tape on stable skin either side of what you are supporting, not on the moving part itself.
Not sterile — and it does not need to be
Strapping tape is a non-sterile product, as is standard. Keep it off the wound itself.
